Training & Placement at Jowai Polytechnic is being looked upon by the Training & Placement Cell constituting of the following members:

i. Training cum Placement officer as the Co-ordinator and
ii. The Department HODs as the member of the Cell.

  This cell facilitates the students with different training programs by collaborating with different training partners both from the Public & Private Organisation in order to enhance the students with skills & knowledge as per the current technology. The training programs for the students are generally arranged both for long term and short term i.e Short Term Training after every term and Long Term Training after their final year as an intern or apprentice.

  The Training Partners of the Institute are from different Private & Public Organisation for both the long term and short term training. Different private organisations range from different Automobile Workshop from different dealership for the Automobile Engineering students to different Architecture Firm for the Architectural Assistantship students, the Costume Design & Garment Technology students enhanced their skills through different training program with some local boutique or designer. The different Public or Government organisation imparting training to our students are Public Works Department, Central Public Works Department, Meghalaya Urban Development Authority, Transport Department, Sericulture & Handlooms.

  Tool Rooms and Training Centre MSME, Guwahati ,Assam is one of the training partner from outside the state which helps our students in different trainings and also their placement .

  This Cell apart from the Academic prospect it also helps the students in getting exposure to the different working environment by arranging Industrial Visit for students to different Industries both inside and outside the state. This exposure will boost the confidence of the students and also help them learn about the latest technology of each Industry they visited.

  Our students are placed in both Private and Public organisation. Some of the passed out students of the Institute also come out as Entrepreneur by starting their own business in the field of Automobile Workshop & also Fashion Technology Industry. The Cell also guides the students who wish to continue with their higher studies both inside and outside the state.

  The Cell also look after the different training programs for the faculty and staff of the institute and help them in enrolling in different Faculty Development Program arranged by different Colleges and Institutes and also trainings and FDP’s arranged by NITTTR of the different region.
